China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) Shipyard Successfully Delivers the First 7,000-CEU PCTC for Gram Car Carrier AS Equipped with SMS-SME RORO Equipment

On November 24, China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) Shipyard successfully delivered the first vessel of the 7,000-CEU PCTC series ordered by Gram Car Carrier AS. With this delivery, all RORO equipment supplied by SMS-SME for the vessel has successfully entered commercial service.

The vessel is equipped with a wide Stern Quarter Ramp capable of handling heavy cargo weighing up to 300 tons. In addition, all RORO equipment, including the Stern Ramp and Internal Ramp, features an eco-friendly electric-driven system and is operated through a fully automated control system based on PLCs and inverters.

With the first vessel, "GLOBAL ACONCAGUA," now entering service, SMS-SME remains committed to providing continuous technical support and after-sales service to ensure that all installed RORO equipment operates under optimal conditions with stable quality and outstanding performance.

This project represents the second PCTC series constructed by China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) Shipyard, following the successful EPS PCTC project. By securing consecutive orders for RORO equipment, SMS-SME has once again demonstrated its engineering excellence, technical capabilities, and strong collaboration with the shipyard through close coordination and dedicated support from its service team.

지난 11월 24일, China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) 조선소는 Gram Car Carrier AS로부터 수주한 7,000 CEU PCTC 프로젝트의 첫 번째 선박을 성공적으로 인도하였습니다. 이에 따라 SMS-SME가 공급한 모든 RORO Equipment 역시 성공적으로 상업 운항에 투입되었습니다.

이번에 인도된 선박에는 최대 300톤급 중량 화물의 적·양하가 가능한 대형 Stern Quarter Ramp가 적용되었습니다. 또한 Stern Ramp와 Internal Ramp를 포함한 모든 RORO Equipment는 친환경 전동(Electric-driven) 시스템으로 설계되었으며, PLC와 Inverter 기반의 완전 자동화 시스템을 통해 운용됩니다.

첫 번째 선박인 **"GLOBAL ACONCAGUA"**가 본격적인 운항에 들어감에 따라, SMS-SME는 탑재된 모든 RORO Equipment가 안정적인 품질과 우수한 성능을 바탕으로 최적의 상태에서 운용될 수 있도록 지속적인 기술 지원과 서비스를 제공할 예정입니다.

이번 프로젝트는 China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) 조선소가 성공적으로 수행한 EPS PCTC 프로젝트에 이어 진행하는 두 번째 PCTC 프로젝트입니다. SMS-SME는 연속으로 RORO Equipment를 수주·공급함으로써 우수한 설계 및 기술 역량은 물론, 서비스팀의 긴밀한 협력과 신속한 지원 능력을 인정받았습니다. 또한 조선소의 두 번째 PCTC 프로젝트가 성공적으로 인도되는 데 기여하게 된 것을 자랑스럽게 생각합니다.
